The HRFC 1st XL kick-off the National League 2 North season on the 2nd September with a home fixture against Blaydon, with the most attractive fixture of the month being the local derby with Leicester Lions at Leicester Road on the 16th September.

Meanwhile our sponsored player, Alfie Potter, was an unused substitute as Mansfield Town recorded their first win of the 2017/18 Sky Bet League Two season, beating Forest Green Rovers 2-0.
The Stags scored twice in six second-half minutes to take victory in their opening home game of the campaign.
Winger Paul Anderson first goal for the club sealed the win after Danny Rose headed home Will Atkinsons cross for the opener in front of a buoyant home crowd.
