Apple have given out a preview of the new Music app to developers that will be available in iOS 8.4! It doesn’t however appear to have the rumoured relaunch of the updated screaming service or the rumoured relaunch of Beats Music. But here is what it does have:
- Global Search: By tapping the magnifying glass you can now search anywhere in the Music app. You can start an iTunes Radio Station straight from search. The results are organized in a convenient order too.
- New MiniPlayer: By tapping on the MiniPlayer you will view what’s playing and control playback, at the same time as you browse through your music.
- New Design: You can add your own description and image to your playlists, view photos of your artists in the Artists view, start playing an album right from the album list. The whole layout now looks more appealing too.
- Up Next: You can tap the Up Next icon in Now Playing to see which song will be on next. You can re-order them, skip, or add songs.
- Now Playing: You can wirelessly go through your music using AirPlay without even leaving Now Playing. The Now Playing section now has a very attractive new design.
- Recently Added: At the top of your library will be your newest albums and playlists.
