“From day one we wanted to provide more than an IT helpdesk. The name came about as we wanted to be our clients whole IT Department. This meant more than fixing things. It meant understanding the business and working with them to ensure the technology helps get the business where it wants to be” explains Simon.

2009
Founded by Lee Hewson and Simon Cox, Your IT Department was built on the Managed Services Provider (MSP) model, focusing on proactive IT maintenance and strong client partnerships, initially based at Mercury House in Nottingham’s Shipstones Business Park.
2010
The company hires its first employee and begins expanding services beyond Nottingham to Derby, Leicester, and Sheffield, growing their team of engineers.
2014
Outgrowing the initial office, the team moves to the NBV Enterprise Centre on David Lane in Nottingham.
2016
Your IT Department purchases its own premises at Farrington Way, strategically located on the Nottingham/Derby border to better serve Mansfield business.
2018
